If they seem to be looking lackluster, I will simply go up to them and inquire as to what I can do to make them enjoy themselves more. It could be offering to get a refreshment for them, or to change the music that is currently playing. How would you describe your personality? My personality is vibrant. I can certainly be reserved when the occasion calls for it. But when things get going, sometimes my smile, attitude and dancing along can be infectious. Why do you enjoy working at Complete Music? Each Djing situation is different, but my love of music and the joy that comes from entertaining different people in different circumstances keeps my job from ever getting dull! Why do you enjoy performing at weddings? Helping ease the tension of a bride and groom's special day brings its own rewards. If they can relax early during the reception after a nerve-wracking ceremony with the music I play for them, and the bride and groom can still dance it up later on when I change the mood from light dinner music to "now let's party!", and when the right song or ice breaker keeps everybody jumping on the dance floor, then it is always all worth it. What makes you a unique DJ? I keep venue staff members, caterers, photographers & videographers in the loop with what is on the itinerary at any given hectic behind-the-scenes moment. This makes the flow of the evening seem easy and effortless to the hosts and the guests, which is exactly how it should be.

The kids, parents, and administrators at the elementary school all had wonderful things to say about the DJ. My daughter was so excited because she won a pair of glasses. She couldn't stop talking about the glasses. My kids love the DJ. When you are playing to an elementary school, the songs have to keep the kids interested, without offending any of the adults. He is perfect at doing this. He has been our DJ the past three Sock Hops and everyone loves him!!! I have been to wedding receptions and the DJ's I've seen haven't compared. The principal commented this year at how good the DJ was. He knows what songs to play at an elementary school dance and most importantly, what songs not to play. I can't say enough about him. One of my biggest pet peeves with DJs is when they start to play the first part of a really fun dancing song and then stop before it's even half over to switch to completely different song. It just seems too random, and if you don't like the next song, then you end up stuck on the dance floor anyway. I expressed this concern to Rich, and he never did this at my wedding. I loved it. The music was also at a good volume, and I never felt like he was interrupting the dancing or the enjoyment of the party by excessive talking. He was great." With many other DJs, its a one-person operation, which is fine in many cases, but for a day as important as a wedding, you don't want to be 2 weeks out and realized the DJ you hired may not be the best fit and then be forced to find another company, last minute. If that were the case with Complete Music, it would just be a matter of choosing another DJ from the roster. Also, the contingency plans being mapped out beforehand was nice as well, as to quell any jitters that may have been present." As the owner of Complete Music & Video I have the best job in the world. I get to go to a party every single weekend and entertain people. Great sounding speakers, excellent lighting, and very organized setup. Black sheet on the table, looked very professional. Amanda hid all the wires, didn't have any cords sticking out on the dance floor or running across the room. Excellent use of lights, starball for the slow songs, lots of color lights during the fast songs. It was perfect. Sound quality was excellent. Great speakers, and Amanda did a superb job of keeping a consistent volume throughout the songs. There were points when the volume needed to be cranked up a bit (cake cutting, intros, etc), and she didn't miss a beat. Amanda made sure to find us throughout the evening and check with us on upcoming songs, making sure we were on schedule, if we had any requests, if we were happy with how things were going. Excellent communication! We didn't have a whole lot of ice breakers, but the ones we did she got out on the floor and showed the crowd how to do it. Never seen anyone do that, and it was appreciated by most of the folks who had never done the Cupid Shuffle. We had given a list of songs as an example of our style and she hit the nail on the head. We had people saying how awesome the selection of music was. She took requests, played perfect amount of slow songs, and just kept the party rolling. Amanda has a wonderful personality, and along with that she is excellent on the mic. Everyone was able to stay informed of the evenings events because of that. She made sure everyone was to a specific location before anything started. If the scale went above a 10, we would select it. We were very picky with selecting a DJ for our wedding. It's a once in a lifetime experience, and one of the main components that people talk about after your wedding is the music/DJ. We have been to a few weddings where the DJ was cheesy, not personable, quiet, or just didn't play good music. Amanda impressed us from the initial meeting at the bridal show. She didn't disappoint. I think I've said it all. I'll make sure to recommend Amanda to all of our friends. There aren't too many female DJ's out there, and all of our friends and family kept complimenting her. We discuss the various aspects of the event to ensure that I understand the needs and desires of the hosts. During the event, I watch for several key indicators that let me know that everyone is having a great time (i.e., toe-tapping, dancing, smiling, etc). I check in with my hosts a minimum of 3 times during the event to make sure that what I am doing is exactly the way they want. How would you describe your personality? Also, I work for the best bosses in the world. Why do you enjoy performing at weddings? I really enjoy seeing couples on their wedding day. They are so happy and excited and I love to see that. The receptions are great because by that time the bride and groom are a bit more relaxed and ready to enjoy themselves. It’s fun to see them around all of their friends and loved ones. I love to hear the stories that are told during the toasts and to see all the people that come to support the union of two people. What makes you a unique DJ? Having performed in live bands for close to 20 years, I have a really good finger on the pulse of a crowd of people. I can tell if they want to keep dancing to some funky music or if they are ready to slow it down and take a breather. I have a really fun personality and I am very flexible (I do a lot of yoga) I will make your event fun and easy for you.
